Ambitio secures $2M seed funding to revolutionize AI-powered university admissions

Ambitio

Ambitio, a Bengaluru-based AI-driven admissions platform has successfully raised $2 million in a seed funding round led by BLinC Invest, with additional participation from investor Ritu Bapna and others. This latest investment follows an earlier $187,000 contribution from First Cheque and other backers, further solidifying Ambitio’s growth trajectory.

With this fresh capital, the company plans to enhance its AI-powered technology and broaden its distribution network, aiming to streamline the complex university application process for students worldwide.

Founded in 2022 by Dirghayu Kaushik and Vikrant Shivalik, Ambitio harnesses over 10 million data points, along with insights from past applicants and alumni experts, to improve students’ chances of securing placements in top global universities.

“Students typically invest more than 300 hours researching and applying to universities, often facing unreliable information and biased consultancy services,” explained Dirghayu Kaushik, Co-Founder and CEO of Ambitio. “Our AI-driven methodology increases the likelihood of admission to top institutions by over five times.”

The platform’s proprietary algorithm, trained on data from 50,000+ university programs and over 1 million successful applications, strategically matches students with institutions that best fit their academic and career aspirations. By integrating real admission data with a personalised profiling approach, Ambitio significantly boosts acceptance rates and long-term success.

Ambitio has already facilitated admissions to prestigious universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, and Oxford. “Our strategy is built on merit-based insights rather than institutional affiliations,” stated Vikrant Shivalik, COO and Co-Founder. “We have cracked the science behind top-tier admissions by leveraging data-driven methodologies.”

With this funding, the company is set to assist 500,000 students in accessing global education opportunities over the next two years, directly competing with established industry players like Yocket, Gradvine, and MiMEssay.

Highlighting the significance of Ambitio’s model, Amit Ratanpal, Founder and Managing Director at BLinC Invest, remarked, “Our latest Study Abroad Report underscores the importance of personalized guidance in ensuring better career success. Ambitio’s outcome-based approach aligns perfectly with this vision.”

As Ambitio scales its operations, it aims to redefine the study-abroad admissions landscape, leveraging AI to make the process more transparent, efficient, and results-driven for students worldwide.
