The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 12 board examination results for 2025 today, May 13. The overall pass percentage stands at 88.39%, marking a slight increase from last year. Notably, girls have outperformed boys by over 5 percentage points. The Vijayawada region recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.60%.
Students can access their results through the official CBSE websites:
Additionally, digital marksheets are available via DigiLocker and the UMANG app. CBSE has sent DigiLocker login credentials to students through SMS on their registered mobile numbers. To access the digital documents, students need to log in using these credentials. For students who narrowly missed the passing mark of 33%, CBSE may award grace marks. Those who did not pass up to two subjects have the opportunity to appear for compartment exams scheduled for July 2025.
This year, CBSE has implemented a ‘Relative Grading’ system, replacing the previous fixed grading model. Under this system, grades are assigned based on a student’s performance relative to their peers, which may lead to variations in grade cutoffs across different subjects.
