M Balasubramaniam, Founder Chairman IIIT Sricity, & Dy Chairman MoE & AICTE Investor Committee (Southern Region)

“The message for the world is clear – India’s talent is phenomenal. The initiatives by the World Education Summit play a vital role in showcasing this to the globe. Since the NEP’s implementation, a remarkable transformation is visible- not just among students, but across institutions and faculty in adopting technology and AI. From where we were to where we are is inspiring- but the real question is, where do we go from here?”

Dr Sai Prakash LeoMuthu, Chairman & CEO, Sairam Institutions

“From just 22 lakh UPI transactions in 2016 to ₹25 lakh crore last month, India’s digital growth has been phenomenal. Our students must be ready for this digital economy. We also thank the United Nations for the 5Ps framework — People, Prosperity, Planet, Peace & Partnership — and we’ve adopted 10 villages under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan to align with these Sustainable Development Goals. Today, information is everywhere — but inspiration is missing. As Benjamin Franklin said, ‘Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.’ We must inspire students to turn information into action.”

V Srikanth, Chief Executive Officer (i/c), ICT ACADEMY

“At ICT Academy, we’re placing a strong focus on AI and emerging technologies. We’ve recently launched the AI Academy, enabling colleges to collaborate with us and build capacity in AI-driven learning. We’re also working in the ESDM (Electronics System Design & Manufacturing) and Semiconductor sectors — with active partnerships in Taiwan and upcoming collaborations with the Penang Skill Development Corporation. According to estimates, Taiwan alone will require 10 million skilled professionals by 2030, and Tata Electronics is investing heavily in this space. During our visit to Foxconn, we saw firsthand the immense opportunities — from ITI and polytechnic graduates to engineers — reinforcing our focus on ESDM skill development. Recently, we inaugurated a MeitY-funded Fab Lab at Thiagarajar Engineering College, Madurai, established with ₹51 lakh. Institutions like Savitha University, Chennai Institute of Technology, and Sairam Institutions have already shown interest in setting up similar labs on their campuses.
These collective initiatives will help India strengthen its digital and hardware innovation ecosystem — from classroom to fabrication floor.”

Dr. K. P. Karthikeyan, IAS, Managing Director, Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (ELCOT)

“We stand at a major transition point in the education sector — as many of our esteemed speakers highlighted, AI is reshaping classrooms like never before. I recently watched an interview of Aravind Srinivas, an IITian from Chennai and CEO & Co-founder of Perplexity, who spoke about how AI is redefining learning. Earlier, students who answered the most questions were considered intelligent — but in the AI era, it’s the students who ask the most logical and curious questions who will truly stand out.”
