Hughes Communication India Ltd and Comat have launched new initiative called CET Karnataka for rural Common Entrance Test (CET) candidates, so that they can get live virtual classes through satellite linked Nemmadi centres in their villages.
Lectures from Bangalore and Delhi will be telecasted live to the student's computer screens in the virtual classrooms (studios). Students can pose questions via audio and e-mail it. In turn, lecturers can monitor the progress of students by asking them question randomly. The programme will be available for both 1st and 2nd pre-university students. The candidates of 1 pre-university will pay INR 1500 plus taxes, while 2nd pre-university will pay INR 1300.
