Soon, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is to institute two awards for schools all over India so as to encourage the implementation of the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) as well as the Mentoring and Monitoring System. All 11,044 schools affiliated to CBSE have been instituted awards by CBSE. The factors that will be taken into consideration for awarding the schools would include awareness of the evaluation system, its implementation, record keeping, teaching aids used, advocacy programme for parents and training for teachers, format of report card and lesson planning.
Chairman of CBSE Vineet Joshi informed that every CCE award would include a certificate as well as a cash prize worth INR 21,000. The school principals who will be awarded the Mentor prize will be given a certificate as well as a cash prize worth INR 10,000.
