ABOUT US
Prometheus School has been founded under the aegis of Gauri Shiksha Foundation with an aim to provide holistic education to the children, encompassing – academics, co-curricular activities, sports education and life skills learning. We believe that education is the basis of all progress and entire purpose of education is to inculcate humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humility, integrity and reliability in a child. Our mission is to create individuals who grow up as disciplined, responsible, productive citizens of a democratic country and are confident of their potential, goal oriented, sensitive to their environment and above all, co-creators oftheir own destiny.
LEARNING FOR TODDLERS
Our youngest learners need to feel safe and supported so they can learn with their whole body and all of their senses. In the infant and toddler program at Prometheus,

At Prometheus, we value and respect parents as their children’s first teachers. That’s why we encourage teachers to partner with parents in learning everything they can about their infants and toddlers personalize their needs and plan for their development. As a result, our programs create a strong three-way bond between child, parent, and teacher.
PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAMME
The PYP is a transformative experience for students, teachers and whole school communities. PYP students learn how to take control of their learning, teachers collaborate to deepen student- learning and increase their confidence and self-motivation.
The PYP curriculum follows an inquiry approach to learning and teaching structured under 6 transdisciplinary themes. During the year, under each Theme, the students inquire into one Unit of Inquiry focussing on the specific concept and integrated into other subject areas following a transdisciplinary approach. Students along the inquiry develop a set of skills and attributes essential to succeed in a changing challenging world.

The emphasis on real life situations, decision-making, problem solving, research and action through these Unit of Inquiries nurtures the students into global citizens of the world. In the final year of PYP, Students carry out an extended, in-depth, collaborative project known as the PYP exhibition. This involves students working collaboratively to conduct an in-depth inquiry into real life issues or problems.
SECONDARY SCHOOL PROGRAMME
The Secondary school carries forward the experiential learning process initiated by the Primary Years Programme. The program builds on the knowledge and skills the students are exposed to, in the course of their primary education through meaningful projects, field trips, local and global interactions and other engaging initiatives which can be suggested both by the teachers as well as the students.
Students work in an open and receptive environment to ideate and express opinions without biases. Initiatives to innovate, create or invent are incentivized with applaud and appreciation and failure is not a taboo, rather it is looked at and reinforced as a path to improvement. Through the Secondary schooling, the children not only get involved with the world around them but also follow their personal passion to work on and develop an area of interest which culminates into a project or a profession laterin life.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Classrooms
At Prometheus our class rooms are equipped with Technology that works best with the age group of children. For instance, in Primary class rooms you would see cameras and increasing use of iPad and lap tops provided by school. The furniture is mixed to give an opportunity to students who learn best in groups and those who prefer personal learning spaces. The class rooms are vibrant to support children’s natural curiosity through exploration and reflection. By middle school the focus shifts to intensified learning subject wise and through on line engagements with the experts and information. The class rooms are enriched with digital learning equipment and all students carry their own lap tops to school. The furniture is so arranged to give them more opportunity for group projects and discussions.
Hangout Spaces
In the spirit of Learning Re imagined, we have our corridors equipped for physical engagements and learning beyond the classroom walls. Proper board games, floor games, reading dens, work stations and some exercising equipment so necessary for students to engage with and experience the world of physical fitness!

Prometheus Town
Prometheus town is a place for holistic development made for primary children. It is an amalgamation offun, inspiration and learning through realistic role play. The space is themed as a child sized replica of real-life spaces such as grocery store, police station, restaurant, etc. Children are often seen collaborating with their peers and constructing their own knowledge through hands-on learning experiences.
