
According to officials, the Bihar Government is all set to distribute 73 Lakh masks among the school students. The move has been a part of the safety measures for school reopening from 4th January 2020 onwards.
The state govt has asked all the schools to make all the necessary arrangements to ensure complete compliance with COVID-19 safety norms for resumption of regular classes.
The mask distribution drive among the students in Bihar is being carried out by the state government in line with the recommendations of the Crisis Management Group.

According to officials, there are around 36.61 lakh students enrolled in Class 9 to 12 under the Bihar Board. Of the total number of students, around 3.17 lakh students are based in Patna.
District Education Officers have been ordered to procure the necessary quantity of masks that are required by students in their respective districts on or before 31st December 2020.
The masks for the distribution drives are to be procured through Jeevika group and invoices are to be submitted at the education department office for reimbursement. From 4th January 2020, when the schools reopen, masks are to be distributed among the students of high and secondary schools.
