Super 30 founder Anand Kumar and renowned mathematician announced plans to launch a new online educational platform to help poor and underprivileged students in India.

Speaking at the 2024 Kellogg India Business Conference, organised by the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Kumar emphasised the critical role of technology in expanding educational access. He passionately spoke about the potential of underprivileged children, comparing their latent talents to those of historical figures like Newton and Ramanujan, yet lamented the loss of such potential due to limited opportunities. “The world is full of talented people hidden by the veil of poverty,” he said. His online initiative aims to provide these individuals with a chance to excel, bringing quality education to the doorsteps of the neediest.

He also emphasised the broader societal obligation to leverage technology to democratise access to education, thereby enhancing the global talent pool and contributing to the prosperity of humanity. Kumar, who described himself as “just an ordinary teacher,” shared a heartfelt message about the power of determination and hard work in achieving long-term goals.

Kumar’s new platform promises to be a significant step towards educational equity, seeking to ensure that even those in the most remote and impoverished areas have a chance to learn and succeed.
