Delhi-based start-up Edtech Leverage Edu has raised Rs 47 crore in Series A financing led by Tomorrow Capital. Existing investors Blume Ventures and DSG Consumer Partners also participated in the round.

Founded by Akshay Chaturvedi, Leverage Edu has become the leading catalyst for international higher education admissions with access to over 2,500 personalized mentors and universities around the world. The company provides comprehensive college admissions services, from discovering and selecting universities, preparing for international exams, processing applications, to other valuable services including student loans, visa applications, and accommodation options. It also offers a SaaS platform, Univalley.com, which helps universities find the best talent for their various programs.

The company plans to use the proceeds to accelerate its expansion into new markets with access to new colleges and universities, for product innovation, and to deepen the student-centered approach with a greater emphasis on pedagogy and student-centered tools.

Launched in early 2017, Leverage Edu helps students select a higher education program based on tutoring workshops and apply to universities and colleges around the world through its OneView student platform. The startup says it gives students comprehensive access to more than 2,500 personalized mentors and global universities and claims to have served more than 3,000 students this season.

UGC frames draft regulations for dual, twinning with foreign varsities
