UP Board Examination 2020: District wise exam centres list released

Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education has released the final list of examination centres district wise for Board exams 2020.

As per the list, around 433 schools have been removed in which no Board examination will be carried out.

According to the list released by the UP Board, the examination will be conducted in 7,786 centres. The Board has also stated the reason for the removal of 433 schools from the list.

On November 12, 2019, the Board had released the preliminary list of the examination centres. The final list has been released now, which includes school names, address, gender and stream names.

The students appearing for the examination can check the list through the Board’s website: upmsp.edu.in.

CBSE to initiate changes in Class 10, 12 exam from 2019-20 session

With an aim to discourage rote learning and develop critical thinking among students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has planned to introduce changes in the examination pattern for Class 10th & 12th from 2019-20 session, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said on Monday.

The aim is to reduce the education in the number of questions, more internal choices, increase the number of objective type questions and reduction in subjective questions and introduction of internal assessment in all subjects.

“The internal choices will be implemented on 33 per cent of the questions for the students. The one-mark objective type questions will be around 25 per cent of the questions in all subjects. Internal assessment will count for 20 per cent marks in subjects in which there is no practical assessment,” the Minister further stated.

The changes will be effected for class 10th and 12th exams which will be held in 2020.

The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) has announced that it has released the intermediate board exam 2020 date sheet.

As per the date sheet, the examination for the first-year students will begin from March 4 and end on March 21, 2020. The second-year intermediate students examination will commence from March 5 and conclude on March 23, 2020.

Ethics and Human values paper will be held on January 28, 2020, and the Environmental Education examination will be conducted on January 30, 2020.

NEET PG 2020 edit window opens tomorrow, read for more details

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Under Graduate (NEET) PG 2020 will open the edit window from 3rd to 7th December 2019.

The candidates will be allowed to make changes from their registered logins at nbe.edu.in. However, according to the National Board of Examinations, new applications cannot be submitted during edit window.

According to a recent notification, “An ‘edit window’ shall be opened from 3rd to 7th December 2019 for updating selective editable information to applicants who have successfully applied during the aforesaid application window,” said a notification released.”

During the edit window, candidates cannot change the entries like Name of the Candidate, Mobile Number, Email ID, Testing, City, Nationality. Entries like Date of Birth, Gender, Category of the Candidate, Physical Disability Status and EWS status will be allowed to change.

“The applicants shall therefore be able to edit these 5 fields as well within the ‘edit window’. Photographs, Signatures and Thumb Impression should only be uploaded as per prescribed Image upload guidelines. Submission of incomplete applications, incorrect information, upload of illegible/unclear/incorrect images shall invite rejection of applications,” a NEET PG notice said.

Eligible candidates can issue the admit cards on 28 December 2019. Applicant candidates will be able to download them from the website using their login ID and Password.

Candidates will be notified to download the admit card through SMS alert. Candidates are required to download their admit card from the website and attach their latest passport size photograph in the space provided on the admit card.

Admit card will not be sent to the candidates by Post.

A demo test will be available for the benefit of candidates to familiarize themselves with the Computer Based Test format at website www.nbe.edu.in. Applicants will be able to access the Demo test from December 20, 2019 onwards.

The NEET PG 2020 will be held on January 5. The results are expected to be declared on January 31.

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released the Class 12th date sheet in its official website (pseb.ac.in). The examination will commence from March 3, 2020 and end on March 27, 2020.

Interested candidates can check the exam dates for the three streams (Science, Commerce and Art streams) for theory exams.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 registration has started and as per the National Testing Agency (NTA) now the medical aspirants can relax a bit as they have to appear only for one examination to get admission in MBBS, BDS, & Ayush courses to all medical courses across the country.

10 Things to know about NEET 2020 Examination:

1. The date of the examination is May 3, 2020.
2. Candidates can apply online from December 2 to December 31, 2019, till 11.50 pm.
3. Admit card will be released on March 27, 2020, on official website. Students who have applied online can download it from there.
4. Aspiring candidates can apply for the NEET May 2020 examination admission on official website ntaneet.nic.in.
5. The admission to MBBS courses in AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER and Institutions like AIIMS will be made through NEET.
6. To fill the application form the candidates needs to pay the following fees:

General Category: Rs 1500
General EWS/ OBC con-creamy layer: Rs 1400
Transgender: Rs 800

7. The aspiring candidates can fill the application fee both online as well as offline mode.

8. For online mode, the candidate can use credit card/ debit card/ net banking as the mode of payment. However, to apply through the offline mode, candidates need to submit the fees via e-challan mode.

9. NRIs, OCIs, PIO along with Indian Nationals and Foreign National category candidates can apply for the examination.

10. The candidates who will be applying for the examinations need to make sure they have either qualified or must be appearing for the class 12th exam with minimum 50% score for general, 45% for PH category, and 40% for reserved category candidates In PCB group.

This is that time of the year when students of Class 10, 12 eagerly wait for the date sheet in order to plan their preparation for the examination accordingly. Giving relief to their constant worry the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that it will be releasing the exam date in the first week of January.

Confirming the news, Anita Karwal, CBSE official said, “The CBSE class 10th, 12th date sheets will be released in the first week of January. The candidates can download the date sheets from the official website- cbse.nic.in.”

Theoretical Examination

For the theoretical subjects, the students need to submit the internal assessment from this year. From now onwards, an internal assessment will be done which will carry 20 points out of total 100 marks. The students need to make sure to score the minimum 6 marks in order to clear the internal examination.

As per the board, the information regarding the new pattern has been sent to the schools. Schools will now have to conduct a pre-board examination on the new pattern sent by CBSE which will in-turn help students to prepare for the final board exam.

The board has asked all the schools to make sure to conduct the 10th, 12th pre-board examination from December 16-30, for which it has also released the time table.

Practical Examination

CBSE has released for the date sheet for the practice examination for class 10th, 12th. The exam will be conducted from January 1 to February 7, 2020.

The students can now the date sheet for the practical examination from the board’s official website i.e. cbse.nic.in.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it will be introducing changes in the examination pattern of class 10th and 12th from the 2019-20 session in order to develop critical thinking and reasoning ability in the students and discourage the practice of rote learning.

Replying to an unstarred question in the Lok Sabha during the Winter Session, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, “The internal choices will be implemented on 33 per cent of the questions for the students. The one-mark objective type questions will be around 25 percent of the questions in all subjects. Internal assessment will count for 20 percent marks in subjects in which there is no practical assessment.”

He was replying to the question raised by MPs Keshari Dev Patel and Chirag Paswan.

The changes that will be introduced to curb the rote learning process are reducing the number of questions, more internal choices, an increase in the number of objective type questions and reduction in subjective questions and introduction of internal assessment in all subjects.

These changes will be introduced in the class 10th and 12th scheduled to be held in 2020.

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released the Class 10th date sheet in its official website (pseb.ac.in). The examination will commence from March 17, 2020 and end on April 8, 2020.

The class 10 exams will be conducted in the first shift from 10 am to 1:15 am; subsequently, the class 12 exams will be conducted in the second shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.
