Internet training Programme for underprivileged children in Madurai, India

`Sify i way' has come out with an inaugural offer of `Learn Internet Training Programme' for needy children in Madurai, Tamil Nadu (TN), India.

The 'Sify i way' has offered its Learn Internet Training Programme' for the underprivileged children at its centre on the Bypass Road. The aim of the introductory programme is to provide exercises right from basics of computer and Internet, e-mail, video and voice chat, use of search engines, railway ticket booking, video messaging, air ticket booking, learning Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, Revision Test and Project. According to M. Krishna Swami, Area Manager, the aim of this attempt is to make people computer literate through 3300 iWay network. This training programme has already enrolled five children. The cost of membership is INR 250 for seven days instructor-led Internet course of daily duration of one hour. It is absolutely free for the under-privileged children.
