HRD Minister Kapil Sibal, recently emphasised that the education sector would remain a not-for-profit sector, and the government will ensure that profiteering in education is not allowed, at an interactive session on 'Changing face of Indian education', organised in New delhi, by FICCI Ladies Organisation.
He said educational institutions can make profit, which has to be ploughed back to the institution for its development. He described that fate of the students cannot be left to the moments of share market and that thet same shouldn't be considered as dividend that goes as profit to the share holders. He emphatically said that no country in the world allows profiteering in education.
