Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) was visited by a team from Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC) to explore the recent ICT initiatives implemented by ADEC. Briefing was provided to the team members on Identity Management (IDM) that was launched by ADEC, comprising of a system that is to enable staff and teachers to use various innovative applications such as ADEC's Active Directory, ERP system and e-mail service. The visiting team was briefed on the ADEC Web Portal based on MS SharePoint 2007 technology. With enormous capacity for storing information, data and documents, the portal protects information security and privacy and supports business and users by providing services that can improve work efficiency.
