New Delhi/Ghaziabad – It’s not the happiness that brings us gratitude, it’s gratitude that brings us happiness. We are very much aware of the present-day situation and government is taking every possible step to fight the crisis and its counter effects. In order to support the government in its ventures to combat Covid-19 and to extend a hand of support to the students and the fellow citizens, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad has come to the fore to donate cash and take up numerous CSR activities.
Amid Covid-19, whence our countrymen are being adversely impacted due to exigency, KIET Group of Institutions, along with its sister branch Krishna Engineering College & the Management of both the institutes, have deposited a sum of INR 21 Lacs in the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief fund (Uttar Pradesh).
The students of kit have also joined hands with the government in finding innovative solutions to fight the crisis. The students of KIET School of Pharmacy have submitted various ideas to the government bodies and offered their products to them viz. they have already launched a biometric finger sanitizer and are in the process of launching few more products including Full body sanitizers for the public and specially educational institutes. A project of student of IT department from KIET has also been selected for the 2nd level assessment.
KIET teams donated 10 PPE Kits, 10 face shields, 10 helmets and 700 masks& sanitizers to the medical college of Meerut and they are making & donating 100 khadi masks & 5 liter sanitizer to the policemen & local residents of Meerut every morning. A team of the institute even distributed masks among the residents of nearby villages, Asalat Nagar and Shobhapur.
The Joint Director of KIET Group of Institutions, Dr Manoj Goel mentioned, “Our moral as well as social responsibility towards the society has coaxed us to make our best contribution for the well-being of humans around us and we not only as an individual but as an institute endeavor to reflect our gratitude to God by spreading positivity & happy vibes among all. This feeling has made us take small but essential steps to achieve our goal through good deeds.”
KIET Group of Institutions has even tried to ensure that apart from remaining intact with their academics, the students may also stay cognitively stimulated and occupied by being involved in some activities that may divert them from the reiterating news of the disease on social media as well as news channels. A digital Challenge of “Let’s Empathize!” has been conducted for school students to give wider online platform to the talented students. Also the institute has offered free online courses to the students interested in learning Java Server Pages (JSP) and shared a video on “Creative mantras to fight corona Anxiety”.
With the aim of all-round development during this unprecedented Lock downtime, the entire team of KIET Group of Institutions has come forward to engage all students at their home in various co and extracurricular activities as team Quizzing a conducted an Online History And Politics Quiz on Instagram, team odyssey conducted a series of fun and interesting literary events by a LITATHON name campaign on the online format, KIET Music Club organized an online event “Antakshari”, KIET Kavyanjali team organized KAVITA DIL event, which provided a platform to all the poets to showcase their talents.
The Soft Skills & Communication faculty members of KIET, during the work-from-home duration, have conducted many sessions on email writing, story writing, Time management and others. The department of IT/CSI organized various Coding Competition and the DSC KIET Club, powered by Google Developers, has organized different types of events as Online Coding Contests, Front-End Challenges and also 24 x 7 community support with student groups to solve their problems and doubts, either on video calls or Team Viewer sessions.
KIET YOGA CLUB has made a successful attempt by motivating and guiding students to incorporate & practice Yoga and meditation in their day to day activities.
