
In a major reshuffle, Vasudha Mishra IAS has been appointed as Secretary, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Department of Personnel and Training of Government of India.
Vasudha Mishra, a 1987 batch IAS officer of Telangana cadre is currently working as Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
UPSC has completed over 4300 recruitment in 2019-2020 and conducts jobs exams in two ways. It conducts exams like civil services exam and direct recruitment by selection on behalf of departments and ministries.
The Commission conducts recruitment for various govt cadres like Civil Services, Combined Defence Services, Indian Forest Service, Combined Medical Services, Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist, Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service and Engineering Services.
The Centre has also appointed senior IAS officer Manoj Ahuja as the new CBSE as part of a major bureaucratic reshuffle on Tuesday.
