
The Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhariyal took to his social media account to announce that Indian Institute of Technology Indore has introduced a course in which it would be conducting mathematics and science classes in the Sanskrit language. The premium institute would help the National Education Policy 2020’s vision to be forwarded.
Taking his twitter, the union minister said “The NEP-2020 will make the country multi-lingual, hopeful. It will stand on the basis of Indianness and reach international limits, it will be effective and will help in ensuring the continuance of dialogue. It will also be inclusive.”
The Indian Institute of Technology would be taking up classes in Sanskrit was earlier announced in August end 2020 where the knowledge would be imparted from ancient Sanskrit texts.
It was titled “Understanding Classical Scientific Texts of India in an Immersive Sanskrit Environment”. As per an official of the IIT Indore, “the course was started to in a bid to expose the present generation to ancient knowledge.”

This course would be divided into two parts in which all the candidates would at first be taught the nuances of Sanskrit which would help them build their understanding of the language and the second part would be teaching them classical mathematics in Sanskrit too.
