
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has asked the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Chairman and the UGC chairman to coordinate meetings with regard to the date of the CBSE compartment results. The directive was issued by the union minister after concerns regarding the delay in the declaration of the results.
The Supreme Court had earlier asked the CBSE to announce the CBSE compartment Exam Results at the earliest. The top court also asked the UGC to ensure that the students get admissions to the college in the academic year.
The apex court asked the UGC not to declare the academic calendar until September 24, 2020, although a revised calendar was released by the education minister based on which the admissions to the 2020-21 first year UG and PG courses will be completed by the end of October 2020. As per the revised academic calendar, the new academic session is scheduled to commence from November 1, 2020.

The CBSE compartment exams have Over 2 lakh students from the class 10 and 12 are appearing for the CBSE compartment exams in across 1268 exam centres across the country. The board has clarified that all the necessary safety precautions are being followed at the exam centres. According to the date sheet released the class 10 CBSE compartment exams will continue until September 28, 2020, while the class 12 compartment exams will continue until September 30, 2020.
