
The Jharkhand government has decided to provide free textbooks to students studying in Classes 9 and 10.
The decision was taken by the Chief Minister Hemant Soren at a cabinet meeting recently.
A government spokesperson said “Approval was given to provide free textbooks annually to all categories of students enrolled and studying in classes 9 and 10 in government schools of Jharkhand.”
The Jharkhand government is looking into the matter to reopen schools as it was closed due to the ongoing pandemic. The stakeholders are requesting the state government to reopen schools and start offline classes.
