Tamil Nadu State Council for Education Research and Training (SCERT) has introduced a curriculum for refresher classes for students from Class 2 to 12. These classes will start once the schools reopen on September 1.
It will help to mitigate the learning gaps that the education system is facing due to the Covid 19 pandemic situation.
The classes will be conducted for a short duration without making students feel uncomfortable. The refresher classes are for those students who have not been able to attend the online classes regularly, said the school education department recently.

The department also found that many students are facing potential challenges to get access to gadgets, connectivity, power failures and lack of power connections in rural areas. “The first two weeks of our classes will be dedicated to clearing the doubts of the students and teaching the refresher course materials,” M.R. Muraleedharan, Headmaster, Erode Government High School told a news agency.
“We will not put pressure on students and this will be a new teaching experience for teachers and a learning experience for students,” he added.
He asserted that there will be revision of syllabus that was taught in remote learning during the current academic year between June to August. The course will be revised in physical classes from September onwards.
