Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has underscored the importance of comprehensive reforms in Andhra Pradesh’s education sector, to achieve significant and measurable improvements. During a high-level meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday, attended by the Human Resource Development and IT Minister Nara Lokesh and senior officials, the Chief Minister announced the State government’s commitment to investing Rs 32,000 crores in school education.
Naidu highlighted the necessity for updating the current curriculum to meet future demands, suggesting that consultations be held with educational experts, intellectuals, and leaders in the field to guide these changes. He stressed that providing basic amenities in government schools should take precedence over promotional campaigns, ensuring every student’s needs are met.
The Chief Minister also emphasised the goal of achieving 100 per cent student enrollment, with continuous tracking of students until they graduate. To support this, each student will be issued an ID through the APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) system, recently introduced by the Union government.
