The University of Wollongong (UOW), a leading Australian institution, has officially inaugurated its India campus at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar. The campus offers master’s degrees and graduate certificate programs in fintech, aiming to meet the rising demand for skilled professionals in India’s rapidly growing financial technology sector.
The inauguration took place in November 2024, following pre-launch programs designed to introduce students to the campus experience. University of Wollongong offerings include stackable, flexible courses such as fintech foundations, cybersecurity, and AI/ML applications tailored to meet the evolving needs of the fintech industry. The programs are designed to accommodate a diverse group of learners, ranging from recent graduates to experienced professionals seeking upskilling opportunities.
Marisa Mastroianni, Managing Director of UOW Global Enterprises, highlighted the campus’s role in bringing Australian education closer to Indian students, eliminating the need for overseas travel while maintaining global standards. Students will benefit from unique learning experiences, including a fully funded visit to UOW’s Dubai campus as part of the inaugural cohort.

Partnerships with GIFT City further integrate UOW into the thriving educational and technological ecosystem of the region.
With existing campuses in Dubai, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, UOW’s India campus marks another milestone in its mission to deliver world-class education globally.
