Keeping up with the ‘Digital India’ drive, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will be launching e-learning programmes for management education via distance learning.
It is hoped that IIM-A would launch several such programmes in the coming months in collaboration with companies that provide online learning services, like NIIT Ltd and Hughes Education. Management education is going through dramatic changes, especially with regard to infusion of technology, challenging the traditional content delivery model. Therefore, the institute has signed agreements with both, NIIT and Hughes to deliver management education content using electronic mode in the form of synchronous studio-to-classroom programmes.
With this initiative, IIM-A will start both distance learning as well as blended learning programmes. Several executive education courses will also be a part of this e-learning model.
