The Education Ministry through the Smart Education Partnership (SEP) will conduct the 2006 National Teachers Convention on ICT with the collaboration of TIME Engineering Berhad, Microsoft (M) Sdn Bhd, Intel Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd and Prestariang Technology Sdn Bhd. < ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The three-day convention will conduct at the Putra World Trade Centre, entitled 'From Teacher to Teacher: Towards An ICT Culture in Education” on 30 November. The aim of the conference is to promote ICT initiatives to the teachers and enhance the participation of the ministry's partners in efforts to develop the use of ICT in education. Through the seminar, about 500 teachers from 50 schools nationwide will be exposed to the technology and the new methods in teaching and learning. The convention would be divided into a seminar entitled “Sharing Best Practices” and an exhibition entitled “Transforming Education Through Technology”. It is expected that the convention will help teachers for implementing ICT as a part of the education culture.
