UNESCO’s International Institute for STEM Education (IISTEM) has issued a global call for experts in artificial intelligence, STEM education, policy, and digital transformation to support its efforts in building future-ready education systems. Applications are open until June 19, 2026.
The institute is looking for international experts who can contribute across six focus areas: Global Standards, STEM Education Policy, STEM Learning Ecosystems, STEM Education Workforce, Inclusion and Gender Equality, and the Digital and AI Transformation of STEM Education.
Selected experts may join UNESCO’s international expert groups and contribute to developing policy frameworks, authoring reports, preparing analytical studies, designing training programmes, and supporting the development of digital and AI-powered systems for STEM education.
UNESCO is particularly seeking professionals with established expertise in STEM education, experience in large-scale education projects, policy development, teacher training, curriculum design, and human-centred AI systems with proven ethical and pedagogical validation.
