Children's Council of the City was launched on Sunday by the Dubai Municipality in cooperation with Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). The council is to have 26 members.
This council has been formulated to look out for the welfare of children like safe passages, playgrounds, provisions for physical and knowledge development and care for special needs children. The council will also educate children on maintaining cleanliness, protecting public properties and architectural heritage, reducing environmental pollution, among others.
