Dikshit appreciates government schools’ efforts

Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit and Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely recently, appreciated noticable improvement and overall performance of the government schools in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams, complimenting it as a joint effort of the board, hard working teachers and sincere students.

Ensuring that learning becomes a joyful experience imparted in a friendly atmosphere that will lead to all-round development of the children, the chief minister stressed on the non-scholastic pattern of education too. According to Lovely, 63 government schools achieved 100 % results against 50 schools last year. In 2005, only 18 schools achieved 100 % results. Moreover, 400government schools achieved 90 % and above results this year against 355 schools last year.
