Schools in Delhi are unlikely to open soon, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said this during a press meeting on Thursday. “No, no, not now,” the CM said.
He said it is currently difficult to take risks. Considering the global trend, it seems there would be risks in reopening schools. “Those who are seeing the international trend know that the third wave will come soon. So, until the vaccination process is not completed, we will not take the risk with our children,” Kejriwal added.
Since the COVID 19 pandemic started last year, all schools in Delhi started conducting online classes. In fact, during the second pandemic wave, the same process of lockdown and restrictions continued. It has been a year and half, Delhi has been under a covid crisis.

Schools are trying to adapt and adopt strategies for implementing progressive structures for conducting online classes. This will perhaps continue further and hopefully Delhi will see a different scenario next year.
Many other states such as Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra including others are reopening schools for the higher classes. Some schools have reopened with 50 percent strength in certain classes.
