Uttar Pradesh will reopen Schools for Classes 1 to 8 soon

The Uttar Pradesh government has given permission to reopen physical classes in the schools for students of Classes 6 to 8 from August 23 and for Class 1 to 5 from September 1.

The physical classes in schools for Classes 9 to 12 have already started. Proper Covid 19 protocols are being maintained in the schools and classes have resumed from August 16. “The order has been issued to open schools for students of classes 6-8 from September 23 and for classes 1-5 from September 1,” a senior official said.

Earlier this week, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also said that the schools should resume their teaching activity for Classes 6 to 8 from August 23 after Rakshabandhan. The state has reported 27 new COVID 19 cases and there is a total number of 420 active cases. The classes for the primary session will resume with 50 percent capacity.
