IGNOU announces online registration process

IGNOU has announced online submission of applications for Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Business Administration (Banking and Finance) (MBF).

The last date for the online submission of application is September 30. The eligibility, duration, fee, courses, and other details are available on the online portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

The university is offering various PG Diploma programmes in management. These programmes are PG Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM), PG Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), PG Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) and PG Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM).

The last date to apply for postgraduate programmes is September 15, 2021.

The validity of registration process for students that had to be ended in June 2021, has now been extended to December 2021.

 

NTA releases exam dates for Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) 2021

Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) will be conducted on September 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and October 1. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the dates for the examination. The examination will be held for UG, PG and M.Phil/Ph.D courses.

The candidates can check the official website of NTA at nta.ac.in. The entrance exam will be conducted in three slots. Timings are from 8 am to 10 am, the second slot is from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and the third slot from 5 pm to 7 pm.

The exams will be for 2 hours duration and there will be multiple-choice questions. 100 questions will be there and 4 marks will be given for each correct response. There will be negative marking for incorrect responses. The paper needs to be answered in the English language only.

For postgraduate programs, the number of questions will be 50/100 and for M.Phil/Ph.D courses, the number of questions will be 50.

The other details for undergraduate courses will remain the same.

UPCET 2021: NTA releases admit card, check official website

The admit cards for Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET 2021) have been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The students can check the official website upcet.nta.nic.in to access details.

The UPCET 2021 exam will be held by the NTA on 5-6 September. It will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).

How to download UPCET 2021 Admit Card:

  • Visit the official website of UPCET- upcet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the required link: ‘Download Admit Card for UPCET UG, 2021’
  • Students will be redirected to the login page
  • Enter the application number, date of birth, and security pin
  • Click on ‘Submit’
  • The admit card will be displayed on screen
  • Take out a print out for future reference

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Reviews

The Union Education Minister reviewed the status of all schools in India on Wednesday as schools have reopened from September 1.

The education minister ensured the vaccination of all teaching and non-teaching staff in schools. “Government Of India (GoI) is prioritising vaccination of teaching and non-teaching staff in schools across India to ensure a safe environment for reopening of schools,” stated the Education Ministry.

On Tuesday, there was an official meeting regarding the school safety, vaccination of staff, and teachers. This meeting was attended by the Secretary, School Education and Literacy, Anita Karwal along with Education Secretaries of states and Union Territories.

The secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy (DOSEL), said that everyone should get vaccinated during the month of September 2021.

 

Apeejay Stya University signs MoU with PHD Chamber to bridge skill gaps

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been recently signed between Apeejay Stya University (ASU) and apex industry chamber PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI). The MoU will facilitate incubating ideas, two-way knowledge-sharing, new product development, scale-up & technology transfers, skill development and other areas.

In a special message, Sushma Paul Berlia, Co-Founder and Chancellor, ASU said, “Industry-academia interface has always been a focus area in our approach to education. The MoU with the PHD Chamber would provide a formal basis for joint collaboration between industry and academia to develop required skills in a path towards excellence.”

Berlia is also Chairperson, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Apeejay Education, which runs 24 educational institutions across India.

CUCET 2021: Last date to submit application extended to September 5

The last date to apply for the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2021 has been extended up to September 5. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the examinations for CUCET.

Earlier, it was scheduled for September 2. The examination will be conducted on 15, 16, 23, and 24. It will be a computer-based test (CBT).

NTA has added two more exam centres in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar, and Kasaragod, Kerala.

“The NTA will make efforts to allot a city of examination to the candidates as opted by them. Allotment of seats will be based on capacity and also if an adequate number of candidates have opted for the city. However, if very few students have opted for a test centre, a different city will be allotted based on the correspondence address given by the candidate in their Application Form, and the decision of the NTA regarding allotment of Centre City shall be final,” the NTA said.

Students clearing CUCET will get admission to 12 central universities across the country. They are:

  • Central University of Gujarat
  • Central University of Andhra Pradesh
  • Central University of Jammu
  • Central University of Karnataka
  • Central University of Haryana

Rajasthan Schools reopen for Classes 9-12 today

Rajasthan schools reopen today. The classes for 9 to 12 standards started on September 1. The state government has also issued SOPs that need to be followed by the educational institutions.

As the covid cases are declining, the government has decided to reopen the schools. The number of active cases in Rajasthan is 109. Rajasthan’s Education Minister, Govind Singh Dotasara said that schools will need to follow COVID protocols like maintaining social distance, wearing masks, and hand sanitizing. He also ensured that teachers and other staff are given COVID vaccination doses.

Currently, the seating capacity in the classroom will be 50 percent. Due to the COVID, the classes were discontinued for the last two or three months.The syllabus was reduced by 30 percent.

To assess the students, tests will be conducted by the schools every month. The exams will help to evaluate students and their performance. Around 21,000 schools have reopened today. Out of this, 5,000 are government schools and 16,000 are private schools. A total of 50,000 students will be attending offline classes.

Schools in Delhi to reopen from tomorrow

The schools in Delhi will reopen from September 1. The students of Classes 10,11 and 12 can visit schools. “About 70 percent of people wanted schools to reopen, according to a Delhi government survey. We are still working on the protocols. It will be a blended mode of online and in-person classes,” the education minister, Manish Sisodia said recently.

“Given that Covid cases have come down and the positivity rate is just 0.1 per cent, we feel we can open schools now. Almost 98 per cent of staff in Delhi schools have had at least one dose,” he said.

The classes below 9 standards will take some time to reopen and the decisions on it will be taken after discussion.

The senior classes students should be called at the first phase. Slowly the schools will likely open classes for the middle and primary session students.

Due to Covid 19 pandemic, the schools were closed down. The schools will have to follow all covid protocols like wearing masks, proper sanitization and social distancing. Currently, students of Classes 10, 11 and 12 can visit schools only with the consent of parents.

DU UG Admission 2021 registration process closes today

The submission of the application process for the Delhi University Undergraduate admission will end today. Interested students can check the official website: du.ac.in.

The available seats for undergraduate programs are 70,000. The first cut-off lists will be released next month and it is expected that the cut-off lists for the academic year will be higher than last year.

-Click on login details
-Fill the application form, and make the payment’
-Click on submit
-Download, take a printout.
