No reduction in CBSE classes 9-12 syllabus for 2021-22 academic year

CBSE classes 9-12 syllabus

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum for high school students (grades 9 and 12) was published for the 2021-22 school year. The chapters that were removed last year have been restored, which means that next year’s board exams will run based on the full curriculum. The CBSE program for the 2021 exams had decreased by 30% due to the COVID-19 pandemic. CBSE has published the high school and high school curriculum on its official website, cbseacademic.nic.in.

By 2020, CBSE had reduced its graduate program by 30% to make up for the academic loss caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Board exams scheduled for May through June 2021 are based on this reduced schedule.

For 11th grade political science, CBSE “completely erased” the chapters on federalism, citizenship, nationalism, and secularism. Deleted chapters from 12th grade political science included security in today’s world, environment and natural resources, social movements and new social movements in India, and regional aspirations.

These chapters have been reinstated in the 2021-2022 program. Removed sections of the curriculum for other subjects have also been restored.

CBSE’s offer to remove these key chapters was not well received and the board was forced to issue a statement saying its decision had been “interpreted differently.”

Schools were also urged to follow the Alternative Academic Calendar created by NCERT for the implementation of the program. Therefore, all the topics erroneously mentioned as deleted in the media were covered in the Alternative Academic Calendars already included by NCERT for Force. All schools affiliated with the board, CBSE said last July.

Gujarat passes bill sanctioning 7 new private universities

Gujarat passes bill

The Gujarat Legislature passed a law sanctioning seven new private universities in the state, paving the way for the state’s first all-female university, State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasam said.

Other bills passed by the House included instructing Ayurveda, homeopathy and naturopathic universities to fill 15 percent of government reserved seats based on a central list of unsupported income.

Gujarat’s Private Universities (Amendment) Act was passed by majority vote, while Gujarat’s Universities or Institutions Providing Professional Medical Education (Admissions and Fees Regulation) Act (Amendment) and Gujarat’s Panchayats Act (amendment) were approved unanimously.

Gujarat’s Private Universities Bill (Amendment) aims to add seven new private universities to the state and change the sponsoring body of an existing private university.

“For the first time, Gujarat will have a university exclusively for women called Vanita Vishram Women’s University,” Chudasama said when introducing the bill.

Other provisions of the law were amended to “ensure transparent work and good governance in the education sector while minimizing the burden of law enforcement.”

“Out of 11 universities in 2001, there are now 83 universities in Gujarat, including those that are specific to certain sectors,” Chudasama said.

Gujarat Professional Medical Education Colleges or Institutions (Admissions and Fees Ordinance) (Amendment) oblige colleges or institutions not assisted in Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Naturopathy disciplines to occupy 15% of government positions on the basis of a list of merits established by the central government agency. .

This step is necessary due to the regulation of the centralized councils for admission to AYUSH under the UG and PG courses, Health Minister Nitin Patel said when introducing the bill.

“This means that 889 of the 5,929 total positions in 65 of these institutes in Gujarat will be filled through the central quota,” he said.
