NTA releases UGC NET 2021 application form

UGC NET 2021 application form

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the 2021 application form for the National Eligibility Test of the University Scholarship Commission (UGC NET). Applicants can now complete the application form on the official website, –ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The registration process started on February 2, 2021 and the exam registration deadline is March 2, 2021. Applicants should note that the deadline for successful transaction of the exam fee is March 3, 2021

UGC NET 2021 is scheduled for May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17, 2021. This exam is conducted to assess eligibility for assistant professor positions and scholarships research junior at Indian universities and institutes.

The registration process for UGC NET 2021 started on February 2, 2021 on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for this exam nationwide until March 2, 2021. The authorities have also allocated an additional day for the successful transaction of the application fee, which will take place on March 3, 2021 until 11:50 pm

Steps to apply for UGC NET 2021:

-Visit the official website of the agency i.e. ugcnet.nta.nic.in

-Enter email ID and mobile number

-Note down the system-generated application number

-Fill the online application form and again note down the application number for future use.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas may reopen for grades 10 and 12 in states where schools have reopened, the Ministry of Education said on Wednesday.

The ministry said it had prepared a standard operating procedure (SOP) to reopen NIDs, based on guidance from the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Health and Family.

JNV, a chain of state boarding schools, was closed for summer vacation last March after the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The shutdown has been extended as the coronavirus pandemic hits the entire country.

“The NIDs are well prepared to teach physical classes for students with parental consent. As for other students, online classes will continue to avoid academic losses. As for students who must be gradually introduced to physical courses, the instructions of the state administration are strictly followed, “the ministry said in a statement.

During the school closure period, efforts were made to train teachers in electronic content development and online classroom management, as well as online assessment.

NSDC partners with CBSE to launch first edition of ‘Junior Skills Championship 2021’

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) worked with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to launch the first edition of the “JuniorSkills” Championship 2021, with the aim of integrating vocational and technical education (TVET) at the university level.

With this initiative, the NSDC wants to raise awareness among youth across the country about the importance of skills development. The championship, held virtually this year, offers students the opportunity to identify their talents and interests and make informed career decisions in a rapidly changing world. Registration for JuniorSkills is open until February 19, 2021.

The championship is sponsored by more than 21,000 CBSE schools across India. The 2021 Youth Skills Championship is aimed at students in grades 6-12 across the country, providing a platform for talented children from India to demonstrate their skills. At the same time, it will create a channel for upcoming WorldSkills competitions and link education with industry-related skills. In addition, the championship will also incorporate international standards and assessment standards, increase the capacity of teachers in accordance with WorldSkills standards, create role models among students and research skills for young people.

A wide variety of activities are planned for the Championship over the next two months, including ranking competitions for schools, career-oriented webinars, webinars and roundtables, online bootcamps and roundtables, academics and businesses as they are the national final is approaching in April 2021.

The championship takes place in four levels: selection, classification, semifinals and final. In the current COVID situation, the first three levels of the championship will take place online and the final will take place on site in Delhi.

CBSE releases date sheet for class 10 and 12 board exams

After much deliberation, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday released the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2021 date sheet. The board has released the datesheet on its official website at cbse.gov.in.

Students appearing for CBSE Class 10 and CBSE 12 board exams this year can check the exam schedule on the official website now. Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had announced that the CBSE board exams 2021 will be conducted from May 4 to June 10, 2021.

The Education Minister shared CBSE Class 10 and CBSE 12 board exams date sheet on his Twitter handle. He said that the date sheet has been made in such a way for students that has enough gap in between for better preparations for the exams.

Meanwhile, most of the states have reopened the schools for Class 10 and 12 to help the students in their preparation for the upcoming board examinations.

Govt cuts spending on school education by Rs 6,000 cr

In the first post-pandemic budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, spending on education fell by Rs 6,076 cr, from Rs 99,300 crore in 2020 to Rs 93,224 crore in 2021.

This time, the budget for education is the lowest in three years, with the lowest tuition at almost Rs 5,000 cr, and the allocation for higher education has been reduced by around Rs 1,000 to Rs 38,350 crore.

The Department of Education received Rs 93,224.31 crore, an increase of more than Rs 8,100 crore from revised estimates for the current fiscal year. The ministry initially received Rs 99,311.52 crore for the 2020-21 fiscal year, which was eventually revised to Rs 85,089.07 crore when the coronavirus pandemic hit the country and classes were closed to prevent the virus from spreading.

Spending on the Mid-day meal program increased from Rs 500 cr to Rs 11500 cr this year. Allocations for central schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas also increased by Rs 1,284 cr and Rs 500 cr, respectively. The government also announced the creation of 100 new Sainik schools in collaboration with NGOs, private schools and state governments.

As part of the ministry’s school education program, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, the allocation was reduced from Rs 38,750.50 crore in the current fiscal year to Rs 31,050.16 crore.

CBSE to release 10 and 12 board exams schedule today

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will publish the CBSE 10 and CBSE 12 class schedules today February 2. Candidates preparing for the exam should note that the exam will be conducted offline from the May 4 to June 10. Shortly after the official announcement of the CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 schedules, it will be on the official website of the council, –Cbse.nic.in.

Applicants should also note that the 10th and 12th grade CBSE admission cards are expected to be released in April. This year the syllabus has been reduced to 30% and the document will contain 33% internal multiple-choice questions.

This year, CBSE Board of Directors reviews will be conducted in accordance with all guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wearing a mask is essential and social distancing is maintained. Schools will organize practical exams starting on March 1. The result will be announced on July 15.

Last year, the results were announced in July. A total of 88.78% of the students passed the grade 12 exam and 91.46% passed the grade 10 exam.

UGC asks institutions to fill reserved teaching, non-teaching posts

All universities and colleges have been invited to fill all teaching and non-teaching vacancies in various reserved categories. Publicly funded institutions have been urged to ensure the effective implementation of the reserve policy under Article 30 (1) of the Constitution of India.

The UGC wrote to all institutions on February 1 that it is mandatory to provide details of teaching and non-teaching positions, as well as admission to courses at all levels and accommodation in residences during the period 2020-21 on its website specify the UGC portal. All centrally funded institutes have been urged to ensure strict adherence to Indian government regulations or reserve rules.

“State universities, including their affiliated or constituent universities and other institutes operating in the state, must reduce the reserve percentage for SC / ST and OBC (planned castes, planned tribes and other backward classes) EWS (economically weaker sections ) and people with disabilities as prescribed by the government of the state in question, “said the letter from the UGC. The UGC has asked all institutions to fill the remaining positions reserved in these categories in teaching and non-teaching positions. Registration begins for NEET SS 2020

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has begun recording the cleaning cycle to advise on the Admission Test for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty (NEET SS). Registration for NEET SS counselling can be done at mcc.nic.in/MCCSS. The NEET SS Mopup Round 2020 consultation schedule has been published. Registration is possible until February 2, 2021 at 12:00 p.m., while payment can be made until 3:00 p.m. The MET-up round of the NEET SS 2020 consultation will be completed from February 1 at 3 p.m. until February 2, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.

The MCC NEET SS Advice 2020 cleanup cycle started after the threshold was lowered. The governing body, the National Examination Board (NBE), revised the 2020 NEET SS cutoff for 32 specialties from the 50th to 45th percentile.

After the registration and selection filling process, the NEET SS seat assignment process runs. The result of the MET-up cycle for the NEET SS 2020 consultation will be announced on February 4, 2021. The seat assignment for NEET SS 2020 is based on the secure SS rank, selection options, available seats, reservation criteria and others factors. Applicants who are assigned a seat must report to the respective colleges to complete the admissions process.
