KNUST students get benefits from broadband wireless Internet service

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) of Ghana has inaugurated a broadband wireless Internet and voice telephony facility in the campus. < ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

 

KNUST has inaugurated the e-Campus Network facility, which has the potential of transforming the mode of teaching and learning on campus. This facility will provide members of the university community with in-room and on-campus wireless Internet and voice telephony. The Universal Telephone Exchange Limited and Engineering Systems and Services Limited has collaborated with the KNUST to provide the service. KNUST is planning to set up the campus as ICT hub, which integrates all educational institutes with KNUST. This facility will enable students and lecturers to access Internet service from any location on campus for research and recreational purposes at their convenience.
