One percent of IIT Bombay Graduates salary in Donation for growth of the Institute

From the Indian institute of Technology Bombay, around 735 students have signed up for giving one per cent of their annual salary for the institute's growth. The programme has been based on idea of Bakul Desai, a graduate of the 1982 batch, that is now being called 'Give One for IIT B'. Every year, IIT B receives approximately INR 10-15 crore in donations from alumni. With an average the starting salary of a fresh graduate is around INR 7 lakh per annum.
