Odisha Governor and Chancellor of Universities, Professor Ganeshi Lal appointed eminent academician Professor Sanjiv Mittal as the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Sambalpur University. The VC has been appointed for a period of four years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier.
In exercise of powers conferred by Sub Section(1) read with Sub Section(7) of Section 6 of Odisha Universities (Amendment) Act 2020, Odisha Governor and Chancellor of Universities, Professor Ganeshi Lal appointed Professor Sanjiv Mittal as the VC of Sambalpur University for a period of four years with effect from the date he assumes office.

Professor Mittal is currently working as a professor at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Graduate School of Management Studies in Delhi.
With 29 years of teaching experience, including 13 years as a professor of management studies, Professor Mittal has written a total of eight books during his career. He has written numerous articles in national and international magazines.
