Maharashtra govt. reduces syllabi

The Maharashtra government has decided to reduce the Syllabi by 25 percent for Class 1 to 12 in account of the ongoing COVID 19 crisis. “Based on deliberations held with various stakeholders & in view of the prevailing health emergency, we have decided to revise the syllabus for Std 1 to 12 for the academic year 2021-22, and reduce it by 25 per cent like last year,” the School Education Minister, Varsha Gaikwad tweeted recently.

It has been decided after discussions with other stakeholders and the emergency arising due to Covid, the state government has reduced the syllabi. “Based on deliberations held with various stakeholders & in view of the prevailing health emergency, we have decided to revise the syllabus for Std 1 to 12 for the academic year 2021-22, and reduce it by 25 per cent like last year,” Ms Gaikwad tweeted.

The government has reduced the syllabi so that the students are in a less stressful condition. The State Council for Education Research and Training (SCERT) Maharashtra will notify soon on the same.
