
Bhimaraya Metri, has been appointed the new director of IIM Nagpur. Metri was former director of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Trichy.
Bhimaraya Metri took charge as the new director of the institute on October 6 and has taken over from L S Murty, who helmed the institute from 2017 to 2020.
Metri has also taught at L&T Institute of Project Management Vadodara, MDI Gurgaon, IMI New Delhi, and BITS Pilani. Metri has obtained PhD from IIT Bombay and is also an alumnus of the Government College of Engineering, Karad, and Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

Under his dynamic leadership, IIM Tiruchirappalli has attained a position among the league of top business schools in India.
He is currently serving as chairperson of various national institutions, such as the All India Board of Management Studies, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi; AIMA Board of Studies, Bureau of Indian Standards, New Delhi.
