
Tekie, an edtech startup, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding from Silicon Valley-based GSV Ventures and Multiply Ventures, an early-to-growth stage fund founded by former e-commerce executives from Myntra, Paytm, Flipkart, and Alibaba. Better Capital also took part in the round. This is GSV’s first seed investment in India.

Tekie is a live coding platform that combines the art of storytelling with coding to create a movie-like learning experience. The edtech startup has created the world’s first animated coding series to teach kids text-based coding. The startup currently has over 12,000 students learning on its platform and intends to use the funds to scale its operation to meet increasing demand and build a strong team.
