UGC’s Exam Guidelines and Calendar for new session released

UGC Exam Guidelines

The University Grants Commission (UGC) announced the exam guidelines and academic calendar for admission into the university for 2021-22. Admission procedures for undergraduate programs will begin only after Class 12 results are declared by CBSE, ICSE and other state boards.

The Supreme Court had earlier announced that all board results should be declared by July 31. University admission for UG courses is expected to start on August 1.

As per the guidelines, the university must complete the final year semester examination by August 31. However, the admission process needs to be completed by September 30 so that the new session starts on October 1.

If Class 12 results get delayed for any reason by the boards, then there is a high possibility that the university may extend the date to start a new session. There will be no cancellation charges for withdrawing application till October 31. After this date, the university will deduct Rs 1,000 as the processing fee until December 31.

IGNOU extends admission and re-registration date for July 2021 Session

The students can now take admission and re-register with The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) as the university extends the date. Programmes such as postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma and certificate courses will start the procedures in another fortnight (i.e by July 31).

The fees can be paid online through the Samarth Portal ignou.samarth.edu.in and re-register.

How to re-register on IGNOU for July 2021 session

-Go the official website and open it

-Enter the enrollment number, select the programme or course.

-Enter registered date of birth in admission portal

-The portal will display your details and pre-filled admission on the basis of previous semester

-You pay the admission fees on the portal through the online payment gateway using Internet banking, credit card and debit card

-You will get a receipt, and admission is confirmed

Delhi University to start admission procedures for UG courses from August 2

The admission for undergraduate courses will begin on August 2 and the admission for postgraduate courses will be from July 26 onwards. The entrance examination date will be announced later once the registration is done by the students.

However, Delhi University is unlikely to conduct the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) this year knowing the pandemic situation.

According to a news report, “the entrance test (CUCET0 will not happen this year. Admissions will be on merit basis as declared by the Central Board Secondary Examination (CBSE).”

The Ministry of Education is yet to make the final decision on the entrance test that will be conducted by Delhi University.

Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 session 4 will be held in August, 2021. The date has been fixed for 26, 27 and 31 August and the next on 1, 2 September.The minister said on twitter and the notification was released on the official website as well.

The students were constantly inquiring and requesting to announce the date of the entrance exam. The students were curious to know the date of the JEE main examination. The session 4 application deadline has been extended to July 20, 2021. The examination fee can be paid on the same day via filling out the application form.

According to the information available, the session 3 examination of JEE main 2021 will be conducted in July itself. The dates are fixed on July 20, 22, 25 and 27 July.

Previously, the exams for JEE Main 2021 were to be held between 27 July to 2 August. Around 7.32 lac students have already registered for the examination. The National Testing Agency is the nodal body that conducts these examinations every year for higher educational institutions.

The examination pattern for NEET 2021 for each subject such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology is expected to have two sections-A and B. Section A will consist of 35 questions and is mandatory. However, there will be 15 questions in Section B and students will only have to answer 10.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam pattern for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 date and the application form is also out.

As per NEET 2021, the exam will have 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).”To rationalize the decision of reduction in the syllabus by various School Education Boards, the NTA has taken the decision to provide choice in Section “B” for each of the 4 (four) subjects,” NTA said.

The assessment for NEET 2021 will be of this type, applicants will get four marks for each of the correct answers and for every wrong answer, one mark will get deducted. For unattempted questions, there will be no negative markings.

MP Board declares Class 10 results, 100% pass

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) declared its Class 10 results on Wednesday. Class 10 students who have been eagerly waiting for the results can now check the official results on the board’s website. Go to the website for further information www.mpresults.nic.in.

The pass percentage of Class 10 students is 100 percent. The pass percentage increased in Class 10 board results as compared to last.

According to the news report, over 3 lakh students have secured division. 397626 students got second division and 159871 secured third division.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh could not conduct examinations due to the second wave of COVID 19 pandemic. The examinations were cancelled due to the current situation. Maharashtra likely to declare Class 10 results, students need to check official website

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is expected to announce the results for Class 10 or SSC examination. The results will be available on the official website of the board. Maharashtra’s school education minister, Varsha Gaikwad declared that the Class 10 results would be out today (July 15).

According to the media reports, the date and time of the declaration of Class 10 results will be available on the official website of the board. Students can check it there. However, media reports state that the results are expected to be declared by July 18. It has also been stated that the scores will be out by July 23.

Maharashtra is also gearing up to reopen schools in the state. The state has said that they will reopen schools where there are no COVID cases. Due to the current scenario, the examination for Class 10 got postponed.

The performance of Class 10 will be assessed on the basis of marks of Class 9.

Himachal Board announced the Class 12th results

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) announced its Class 12 results on Wednesday. The total pass percentage is 92.7 percent. In the exam, 1,00,799 appeared in total.

Out of this, 702 students have been in the category of compartment. The results are available on the official website of Himachal Board.

In 2021, 3,679 candidates secured 90 percent marks. Due to Covid, the board exams were postponed and yet did not take place within the stipulated time. Results have been declared on the formula devised by CBSE. It is also said that if any student is unsatisfied with the results, they can appear in the examination to be held after the COVID situation is under control.

A total of 86,663 students appeared in the Class 12th exam last year. The pass percentage last year was 76.07 per cent.

Madhya Pradesh schools to reopen from July onwards: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

The State of Madhya Pradesh will reopen its schools and colleges from August 1. The chief minister of the state, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that Class 11 and 12 will reopen from July 25 and colleges will open from August 1.

The minister also said the schools will reopen with 50% capacity.

He added if there is no third wave then classes will open for smaller classes even. “Covid-19 is under control for now. We’re monitoring the situation. Preparations are being done for the third wave,” Chouhan said.

The Covid cases are constantly falling in Madhya Pradesh in the last few weeks. No cases were reported from 42 districts of the state. From peak 13000 cases during April-May, the state just recorded 23 fresh cases on Tuesday. The state-wide tally and death toll were 7,91,583 and 10,508, respectively.
