With the increasing demand for cancellation of CBSE exams due to COVID-19, the board exam for Class 10 was canceled, while the board exams for the CBSE grade 12 were postponed until 2021. The decision was postponed. In addition to the CBSE, many states such as Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra have postponed their board reviews due to an alarming increase in COVID cases. List of states that canceled or postponed board reviews

Gujarat – The new dates for the 10th and 12th GSEB 2021 classes will be announced after a review meeting on May 15, 2021. In addition, the state government has decided to promote students from 1st to 9th grade and 11th grade.

Punjab: The state government has decided to cancel the 2021 Punjab Board exam for grades 5, 8 and 10 after the COVID-19 pandemic. The twelfth review of the Punjab Council in 2021 was also postponed.

Uttar Pradesh: The state government has decided to postpone the UP Council 10 and 12 reviews until 2021 in light of the worsening COVID-19 situation in the state.

Haryana – The Haryana government has decided to cancel 10th grade exams in 2021 and postpone twelfth grade exams as COVID-19 cases have increased. The move came after the Central Council on Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the cancellation of its board exams for tenth grade students and the postponement of the twelfth grade exams.

Odisha – The state government has decided to postpone the BSE Odisha Matric 2021 exam and the CHSE Odisha Plus Two 2021 exam due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases.

Chhattisgarh – Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel decided on Sunday to postpone the upcoming Tenth Class Council exams until 2021.

Rajasthan – The state government postponed testing for grades 10 and 12 on Wednesday. In addition, students in grades 8, 9, and 11 are promoted. The government previously announced a promotion for students in grades 1-7.

Uttar Pradesh – The fate of more than 56 Lakh-UP students who must take the State Board of Education exams for grades 10 and 12 as of May 8 is on hold as 17 of the 19 officials who are Eligible to respond to a call to arrange testing positive for COVID-19.

Haryana- The state government will meet on Thursday to decide whether to take the State Board exams for grades 10 and 12. The exams are from April 22 to May 15 for grade 10 and from April 20 to 17 April for class 12.

Samsung offers smart class solutions to 80 new Navodaya schools

Samsung India announced on Thursday that it has offered smart classroom solutions to 80 new Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) schools as part of its global Samsung Smart School initiative. This initiative will help provide digital education to the students of these educational institutions.

With this addition, smart classes established by Samsung will be available in 625 JNV schools and 10 Navodaya leadership institutes in 835 classrooms across the country, affecting nearly five students in Lakh, according to a statement. Every smart classroom that Samsung has implemented is equipped with an interactive Samsung Flip, Samsung tablets, printer, server, backup, and digital learning content.

These new JNV schools are spread across 17 states, and most of them are in rural areas such as Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir, Dahod in Gujarat, Sukma in Chhattisgarh, Darjeeling in West Bengal, and Baksa in Assam. There are currently 661 JNV schools in the country. Samsung’s first smart class under the Samsung Smart School initiative was founded in 2013 in collaboration with Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

So far, the program has served more than 4.3 million students nationwide, according to the statement. Another 50,000 students will benefit from the new smart classes, he added. To date, more than 8,000 teachers have been trained in the use of interactive technology to teach effectively, improve the quality of instruction, and build capacity in JNV schools.

The program will continue to support teacher training. “JNV students are some of the best performing students in the country and their access to the latest technology through this program has been a great asset. Sisodia urges Centre to cancel CBSE Class 12 board exams

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia welcomed the center’s decision to cancel the CBSE board exams for the 10 class and called for the same decision to be made for the 12 Class students.

“I am happy that the 10th grade exams have been canceled and the deadlines for the 12th grade exams have been extended. I know 12th graders will be concerned about rescheduling,” said Sisodia.

“Like the 10th graders, I ask the government to promote twelfth graders based on internal evaluations and board reviews. It is very important to stay home during these difficult times, ”he added.

Amid the growing chorus over cancellation of CBSE board exams due to the record rise in Covid-19 cases in India, the government decided today to postpone CBSE board exams for grade 12 and cancel grade 12 exams. 10.

The decision was made after a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The minister announced after the meeting that the 12th grade exams, which will be held from May 4 to June 14, have been postponed. The situation will be reviewed by CBSE on June 1, after which details will be provided. A period of at least 15 days is respected before the start of the exams.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has said it will review the COVID-19 situation and will soon make a decision on whether to take the 10th and 12th Class board exams. The CISCE announcement came after the CBSE announced its decision to cancel class 10 exams and postpone class 12 exams as COVID-19 cases increased in the country.

CISCE Chief executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon said the Council is reviewing the situation and a decision will be made soon. However, the secretary gave no indication of what the board was planning. Class 10 CISCE board exams are scheduled to begin on May 5, while Class 12 exams began on April 8, 2021.

Last year, the CISCE exams for grades 10 and 12 were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and students were graded based on an internal student assessment. The CISCE Board of Education told the Supreme Court last year that it would not offer students a choice or a new test and that students would only be evaluated on the basis of an internal evaluation.

According to the evaluation system published the previous year, the candidates were evaluated based on the first three percentage points obtained in the subjects for which the board exams were taken, as well as the internal grades of the students and works of the project.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting on Wednesday about the upcoming CBSE Board exams 2021, after which the Ministry of Education postponed the Class 12 exams and cancelled the Class 10 board exams.

“The results of Class 10 Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams, ”the ministry said in a statement.

For the Class 12 exam, the government will review the situation on June 1 to determine new dates and make an announcement at least two weeks before the exam begins.

The 10th and 12th class exams are scheduled to begin before May 4th.

However, ministry officials have made it clear that canceling or participating in online exams is not an option for 12th grade students.

The announcement comes after a surge in coronavirus cases across the country and a growing chorus of voices from students and state governments calling for board exams to be postponed.

On Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal asked the Central government to reconsider the CBSE exam schedule. Maharashtra made a similar request, urging the education ministry to develop a national consensus and possibly postpone CBSE grades X and XII, as well as other school board examinations.

PM Modi: India’s National Education Policy is futuristic

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that the new national education policy is futuristic and meets global standards.

“India is proud to be the mother of democracy because its values are ingrained in our social life,” Modi said via video conference at the 95th Annual Meeting of the Association of Indian Universities and a National University Seminar of India.

Last year, the center presented the New National Education Policy (NEP).

“National education policy is futuristic and matches global parameters,” Modi said.

He said that the role of trained youth will steadily increase as India embarks on the path of Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance).

“Babasaheb Ambedkar has given us a solid foundation to promote all of our post-independence democratic values,” Modi said on the occasion of Dr. Ambedkar.

The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University hosted the event. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Prime Minister Vijay Rupani attended the meeting.

The seminar aims to develop effective implementation strategies for the recently launched National Education Policy 2020. NEP must be implemented in a way that benefits its main stakeholders, the students.

The annual meeting will also commemorate the 95th anniversary of the IAU, which took place in 1925 under the auspices of stalwarts such as Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. The 95th Annual Meeting is the occasion for AIU to present its achievements from the past year. This two-day celebration will help the IAU to present its annual accounts and establish the calendar of activities for the coming year.

PM Modi to meet Education Minister to discuss CBSE Board Exams

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and other senior officials at noon to discuss the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams scheduled for May and June this year.

The meeting comes amid strong demands from students to postpone the 10th and 12th grade exams, which are scheduled to start on May 4 due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus disease. Several opposition parties, including Congress and Aam Aadmi party, also lobbied the central government to postpone the trials.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday urged the center to cancel CBSE exams for grades 10 and 12, and the city has recorded nearly 13,500 cases of Covid-19.

“The CBSE board exams are fast approaching. In Delhi, 600,000 students are scheduled for exams this year. In addition, 100,000 teachers will participate in the configuration of these exams, ”said the Chief Minister at a digital press conference.

“These (testing centers) could become Covid-19 hot spots … Several countries experiencing a second wave have also canceled these exams. Several state governments in our country have also done it in their respective state councils, ”Kejriwal added.

The Delhi Commission on the Rights of the Child (DCPCR) has also urged the CBSE to postpone board reviews or reconsider evaluation criteria given the increase in Covid-19 cases across the country.

“The board must review the situation on Covid-19 between states before responding to an appeal because CBSE cannot conduct audits in different states at different times. Furthermore, it is not possible to do any other type of evaluation or test in online mode ”, added the official.

NBE releases NEET PG 2021 Admit Card; check details

The National Board of Examinations has published the NEET PG 2021 admission card on the official website. Students who have applied for the NEET PG 2021 entrance exams can download the admission card from the official NBE website. Entries for the entrance exams are expected to be released on April 12, 2021, but have been delayed.

Applicants can download the NEET PG 2021 admission card by clicking on the link available on the official website. Candidates must enter username and password in the application registration link and click on the Admission Card section to download the exam admission card.

Hero Group launches education technology venture, Hero Vired

Diversified Hero Group launched Hero Vired, an educational technology startup, on Tuesday. The Munjal family of promoters has more than $ 10 million.
