Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia welcomed the center’s decision to cancel the CBSE board exams for the 10 class and called for the same decision to be made for the 12 Class students.

“I am happy that the 10th grade exams have been canceled and the deadlines for the 12th grade exams have been extended. I know 12th graders will be concerned about rescheduling,” said Sisodia.

“Like the 10th graders, I ask the government to promote twelfth graders based on internal evaluations and board reviews. It is very important to stay home during these difficult times, ”he added.

Amid the growing chorus over cancellation of CBSE board exams due to the record rise in Covid-19 cases in India, the government decided today to postpone CBSE board exams for grade 12 and cancel grade 12 exams. 10.

The decision was made after a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Minister of Education of the Union, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, will declare: “Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him or her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.”

The minister announced after the meeting that the 12th grade exams, which will be held from May 4 to June 14, have been postponed. The situation will be reviewed by CBSE on June 1, after which details will be provided. A period of at least 15 days is respected before the start of the exams.
