According to a report by the main media agency, the Ministry of Education of the Union and the Central Council of Secondary Education (CBSE) held a meeting on Monday, April 12 to discuss and consider various aspects related to the conduct of the next reviews of the board. The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides who addressed the logistical challenges and the safety of the students and teachers involved in the review process. However, even after extensive deliberation, the meeting remains inconclusive and a final decision has yet to be made.

One of the main lessons from Monday’s meeting was that officials from the Ministry of Education and the CBSE agreed that canceling the upcoming CBSE was not an option. In fact, sources familiar with critical information said there were no plans to cancel the board’s examinations. According to the current date sheet, the CBSE 2021 board review is expected to take place in May 2021.

The meeting between the Ministry of Education and the CBSE comes after requests to cancel the 2021 CBSE Board of Directors exams for 10th and 12th grade students increased, also generating political support of late.
