In a major development, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will soon release the Admit Cards for Class 10 and 12. The admit cards will be release on its official site- https://www.nios.ac.in/. These admit cards were pushed back due to the COVID-19 outbreak and countrywide lockdown.
NIOS will issue the admit cards for theory and practical exams separately. Students who want to download admit card for theory or practical exam will have to enter their official enrollment number/registration id.
These new admit cards will only be valid for the remaining NIOS exams that were delayed due to the COVID pandemic. The remaining NIOS exams have all been pushed back until June of 2020, as the lockdown has been extended to May 31, 2020. The admit card will also provide all the details required, such as the venue, timing, and the dates of the pending examinations.
While most NIOS exams are still pending, some practical exams were successfully conducted back in March. The results for those practical exams are now available on NIOS’ official website.
Students are asked to visit NIOS official site for further notification.
Refuting all the rumours, Gujarat Board will not declare its results for General Stream students today. The GSEB has confirmed that GSEB 12th General Stream Result 2020 will be declared in June 2020. The results will be declared after the lockdown will be lifted.
The confusion about the Gujarat 12th General Stream Result 2020 being declared today i.e. on 19th May 2020 started after a fake notice, which looks identical to official one, started going viral on various social media platforms.
The fake notification, which is doctored using the notification released for 12th Science Stream Result, has signature of Science Stream Exam Regulator JG Pandya, whereas the exam controller for General Stream is Avni Mori.
GSEB chairman AJ Shah categorically denied that the board has not released any such notification. He also added that some anti-social elements have doctored the fake notice to confuse students who are worried about declaration of Gujarat 12th Arts and Commerce Results 2020. He also confirmed that currently, the board has not made any plans to declare results for general stream students.
Local media reports from Gujarat have quoted GSEB Chairman A J Shah as saying that currently the board is working on scare staff and therefore has not been able to complete the preparations for declaration of Gujarat 12th General Stream Result 2020.
According to reports, Bihar Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has commenced the scrutiny process for Bihar 10th Toppers 2020. The results for Class 10th are expected soon.
Earlier, BSEB chairman Anand Kishore had formally announced that the Bihar Board has completed the evaluation process. The board has started the 10th Class toppers’ scrutiny process, which will include rechecking checking of answer sheets and also holding the interviews with them.
The Bihar Board conducts a second round of thorough testing of the students’ answer sheets as part of the toppers’ scrutiny process. As part of this process, answer sheets of students who have been termed as toppers after the first round of evaluation, have been taken to Board’s office for a second round of checking.

According to official sources the results for Class 10 students might be out as early as on 20th May 2020.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the revised datesheet for the pending exams. The board has also mentioned specific guidelines that are to be followed by the students for the July 2020 Exams.
The Class 12 Board Exam are to be held from 1st July 2020 o 15th July 2020 whereas 10th Class Board Exams for students from North East Delhi are more spaced out and would be conducted on 1st, 2nd, 10th and 15th July 2020.
Safety guidelines for students during exam:
Keeping COVID in mind, a detailed set of safety guidelines have been prescribed for the students who are due to appear for the board exam in the coming days.
The key among them are mentioned below:
Hand Sanitizers – Students have been asked to carry their own hand sanitizer to the examination centre.
Face Masks – The board has also recommended use of a face-mask or use a cloth to cover students’ faces at all the time.
Social Distancing Norm – Another important guideline issued by CBSE Board asks students to maintain proper physical distance between them and the other students as well as the examiners at all the time.
Parental guidance on guidelines – With COVID-19 cases increasing by the day, the board has asked parents to sensitize students towards the health hazards of the Coronavirus and how it can be prevented.
Parents advised to ensure students are safe and healthy – Parents have also been advised to ensure that their ward is not sick at the time of the examination
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally released the datesheet of Class 10 and 12 examinations. The datesheet has been released on Union Minister of Human Resource and Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal, twitter account.
The class 10 and 12th board exams will be conducted for the remaining 29 papers from July 1 to July 15, 2020, at various centers.
CBSE Class 10 board exams:
1. Exams to be conducted for North East Delhi: Hindi Course A, Hindi Course B, English Communication, English Language and Literature, Science, and Social Science.
CBSE Class 12 board exams:
1. To be conducted for the whole of India: Business Studies, Geography, Hindi (Elective), Hindi (Core), Home Science, Sociology, Computer Science (Old), Computer Science (New), Information Practice (Old), Information Practice (new), Information Technology, and Bio-Technology.
2. To be conducted for North East Delhi: English Core, Mathematics, Economics, Biology, Political Science, History, English Elective – N, English Elective -C, Physics, Accountancy, and Chemistry.

In the view of Coronavirus epidemic, Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has decided to cancel the remaining exams of Class 10. However, Class 12 exams will be held from June 8 to 16, 2020. The final exam schedule for Class 12 students will be released online soon.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the result for Class 10 students will be announced based on the marks obtained by them in previous exam papers only.
MP Board postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams due to the Coronavirus outbreak. MP Board had begun the exams on March 2. According to the reports, approximately 19 lakh students had registered for the board examinations in 2020.

With governments around the world imposing extended periods of lockdown in a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19, one and half billion schools or college-age learners are stuck at home. Around 90 pc of the world’s student population is under lockdown. Being stuck at home does not necessarily mean that students cannot continue to learn. Edtech firms have seen a surge in growth in terms of new users and engagement during the Covid-19 induced lockdown.

Dr. A. Azad, Registrar, B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu said “Virtual labs are very important for students in this crisis. All the images are in digital form. The resistance to online teaching is gone. Many students have adopted online education. From the very next days of lockdown, we have started online teaching to our students. We have received very fewer complaints about the virtual classes.”
He also said “We have to improve our way of teaching and when the colleges will re-open, 20 pc of students have to do online classes. We are going for blended learning and theory can be taught online.”
He also said things have accelerated in online education and the institution has recorded over 100 e-lectures in the last few days. Delivering content is not an issue but providing quality content will be an issue.
He even said there is no replacement for physical universities. Online learning will fill the gap between students. The core knowledge is very important for students and the use of technology will surge in the coming days in the education sector.
Dr. PR. Ramakrishnan, Dean and Professor, School of Management Studies and Commerce, Vels Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies said “Now a day’s everything is conducted on Zoom conferences. Change is the only permanent thing as we need to adopt it. The education set-up is transforming rapidly. All our students have adopted online education. Students are writing examinations online and we are ready for total adoption of online learning.”
He also said this is the starting of online education in India and in next few years, more students will adopt online learning. We are moving towards students’ centric and quality of education will matter the most.
He said the use of technology will bring new things to the education sector in the coming days.
For last 10 years, digitalization is progressing well in Tamil Nadu. Rural students are more comfortable with digitization, he added.
Dr. Srinivasan J, Principal, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu said “Earlier, we were worried and now it’s all settle down. All the faculty members have opted for online learning platforms. Everybody has adopted technology in education. Our focus is to complete the syllabus and go for placements.”
He also said there is a paradigm shift in education, and it has been adopted by all the faculties and students. Technology up gradation and adaptability is the new thing in this crisis.
The govt has also said to adopt the online mode of education and institutions are trying to conduct assessments online he added.
He even said in coming days hybrid learning will surge in educational institutions.
Raghav Gupta, Managing Director, India & APAC, Coursera said “Every sector is under pressure due to the Corona crisis. Now students will require more skills to get a job. Banking and insurance sector is moving online. This is going to be a permanent shift and 20 to 30 pc students will adopt online education when the campus opens. This will continue for more two-three years. “
He said in coming days there will be combination of 80 pc offline and 20pc online learning in the education sector. The educational institutions need these four elements firstly, Real-time communication systems, secondly, online education platforms, thirdly Learning management system and lastly Online assessment platforms.
He also said students need good connectivity for online classes as some universities are providing MBBS courses through online to students.

This situation has made all students and teachers tech-savvy. With closures of schools, everyone had adopted online teaching. This time can be used by students to learn new things.”
She also said “The ed-tech firms are now supporting the universities and colleges in this pandemic. The Universities have to adopt new online education and create online content.”
We need to re-define education as technology will change a lot in the coming days. There will be new types of jobs in the market, she added.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning will come in the education sector. Technology will not provide empathy to students and Hybrid learning will be normal for students, she added.
Dr. Balakrishna Shetty, Vice Chancellor, Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education Tumkur, Karnataka said “Education is not learning, nor data collection, nor teaching, it’s proving comfort to students. The crisis is a blessing in disguise. Now it’s uncovering the syllabus. This is a third and important revolution in education.”
The change was supposed to happen in education and students are open to all the lectures. Students will be looking for hands-on experience. Universities must start evaluation online and faculties must provide study materials, he said.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning will be the next thing in education. In rural schools, good servers and digital libraries needed to boost digitization. Utilization of gadgets is important in rural India, he said.
Bihar Board has cancelled the State Teachers Eligibility Test, STET Exam 2019. The examination was conducted at 300 centers and was taken by more than 2.4 lakh candidates.
After the examination the issue of question paper leak was informed to the Board, following which an inquiry committee was set to examine the issue.
The four-member committee consisted of BSEB Chief Monitoring Officer Neelkamal. Officers Sanjay Priyadarshi, Joint Secretary Nikunj Prakash Narayan and Monitoring Officer Rajiv Kumar were also a part of the inquiry committee.
The panel submitted its report for cancellation of exams justifying the issue of cheating in the exam held previously. The Board of Education, Bihar cancelled the exam following the report. The board issued a notice saying that the candidates will not have to deposit the fee for re-exam that was to be held in the coming days.
The Board also informed in the notice that the new dates would soon be releasing on the official website of Bihar Board. The new dates would be out soon on biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in or bsebstet2019.in
In the view of Coronavirus epidemic, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has extended the last date to apply for UPPSC PCS Prelims 2020 examination. The exam date has been extended till June 4, 2020. Along with UPPSC PCS Prelims 2020, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) and Range Forest Officer (RFO) have been also extended.
Candidates can apply through the official site of UPPSC at uppsc.up.nic.in till June 4, 2020.
Earlier, the last date to fill online application was till May 21, 2020.
UPPSC PCS recruitment was announced in April and the commission would fill 200 posts for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination.
The application fees for Rs 125/- for general category, EWS category, and OBC category and Rs 65/- for SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen category. Candidates in the differently-abled category have to pay only the online processing fee of Rs. 25.
In a huge relief to students, Union HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ would be releasing the CBSE Date Sheet 2020 for the pending board exams of classes 10 and 12 today.
The CBSE had announced to conduct the Board exams from July 1 to July 15. The exam was postponed due to the lockdown in the country over the outbreak of COVID-19.
CBSE will declare the date sheet on the official website cbse.nic.in.
CBSE would be conducting the board exams only for 29 subjects. It is again reiterated that no exams would be conducted for students of classes 10 and 12 for CBSE schools abroad.
For CBSE Class 10 – only the students of North East Delhi would be required to appear for the exams – also, for subjects of Science and Social Science, which were conducted earlier and some students had appeared, only those who have not appeared for the exams earlier in March, are required to appear for the same.
CBSE would conduct the pending exams for only 29 subjects. This, however, does not mean 29 days. There are many papers (ex. Hindi Core A and Hindi Core B) which would be conducted on the same day.
CBSE may conduct the remaining board exams even on a Saturday or a Sunday to make for the loss of days.
Earlier, the CBSE date sheet was supposed to release on 16th May, 2020.
