Adobe targets schools worldwide

Adobe Systems announced that the company has launched new licensing options and certifications programmes for schools and technical institutions.

Under this initiative, Adobe will provide combination of 13 Adobe multimedia products, including Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and PremierePro in the form of packages. These packakges will come under three broad categories, design, Web and video applications. The design suite of products will allow candidates to design collage, photos, create logos, advertisements, brochures and portfolios while the Web suite will help create online banners, animation, design client sites and host Web videos. The video suite will enable candidates to capture and create action events, news stories, mini documentaries and make DVD portfolios. The K-12 license for school are priced between INR 72,000 and INR 2.10 lakh per school and can support up to 500 computers including home access rights for teachers in that school.
