The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT-A) has launched an online Executive M.Tech programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, aimed at helping working professionals gain advanced expertise in emerging technologies without interrupting their careers.
The two-year programme will be delivered in collaboration with TeamLease EdTech and is designed to address the growing demand for skilled talent in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science across industries. The fully online format offers flexibility for professionals seeking to upskill while continuing their jobs.
The curriculum focuses on key areas such as AI, machine learning, data science, and industry-oriented applications, combining academic rigor with practical implementation. The programme will be academically coordinated by Manish Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology at IIIT Allahabad.

According to IIIT-A Director Prof. Mukul Sharad Sutaone, the initiative is intended to create a strong academic pathway for professionals looking to build expertise in AI-driven technologies and advance into leadership roles in the digital economy.
The launch reflects IIIT Allahabad’s continued focus on expanding flexible higher education opportunities and supporting India’s growing need for AI and data science professionals. Admissions and detailed application timelines are expected to be announced separately.
