
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, Jayant Chaudhary, flagged off five new Solar Community Hub Skill Vans aimed at expanding digital inclusion and future-ready skilling opportunities across India.
Developed by Dell Technologies in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and implemented by the Learning Links Foundation, the initiative will bring AI-enabled learning, digital skills training, and employability support directly to underserved communities in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra.
The solar-powered vans are equipped with laptops, interactive screens, internet connectivity, and AI-based learning tools. Designed to reach communities with limited access to digital infrastructure, the mobile hubs will support over 50 vocational institutions, higher education campuses, and community centres.
Speaking at the launch, Jayant Chaudhary said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to making technology, education, and career opportunities accessible to every corner of the country. He noted that the hubs combine clean energy, AI-enabled learning, and industry-aligned skilling to prepare young people for emerging jobs and future workforce demands.

Manish Gupta, President and Managing Director of Dell Technologies India, said the programme demonstrates the impact of collaboration between government, industry, and communities in building an inclusive digital future and preparing learners for next-generation careers.
Since its launch in FY23, Dell Technologies’ Solar Community Hub initiative has reached 18 districts across 14 states and directly impacted 2.67 million beneficiaries in India. Globally, the programme operates 63 skill vans across 12 countries.
The latest expansion underscores the growing focus on leveraging technology, renewable energy, and AI-driven education to bridge the digital divide and create pathways to economic mobility for underserved populations.
