IIM Kolkata gets ready for an overhaul to reflect an international look.
The 200 crore investment includes construction of new buildings, including hostels to accommodate the 35% increase in student's intake in the varsity, and remodeling of old structures.
The institution will have state-of-the-art classrooms, fitted with multimedia teaching tools. The institute has planed housing for the faculty and for executives who come for short-term programmes. An institute of our stature should not look and feel any different from that of a world class campus anywhere in the developed countries, especially at a time when we have started attracting foreign students and is about to start a bouquet of new courses, “said chief administrative officer of the institute, Dinesh Verma.
