CBSE Class 10, 12 Boards: Calculators allowed for specially-abled students

CBSE allows calculators

Students with special needs appearing for Class 10 or 12 CBSE Board examinations will be allowed to use calculators starting this year, as per reports. Moreover, the calculators will only be allowed for students registered under the Children with Special Needs (CSWN) category.

To avail this facility, the students would have to send a request to their respective schools by January 28. On receiving a request, the school principal would have to forward it to the concerned regional office of CBSE.

Students who request calculators without an appropriate certificate will not be allowed to use calculators during the examinations.

Previously in 2018, CBSE had allowed specially-abled students to use computers to write their examination.
