Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has started inviting applications to fill up a total of 3358 vacancies of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Domestic Science Teacher (DST), Physical Education Teacher (PET), Drawing Teacher, Music Teacher and Librarian.
Interested candidates can apply for the posts online at DSSSB’s official website http://dsssb.delhi.gov.in/ after checking their eligibility. February 23 will be the last date to apply.
Educational qualification is one major eligibility criteria which varies for different posts. For PGT, a Master’s or PhD is required from any recognised university. Furthermore, it is mandatory for the PGT candidates to acquire a BEd/BT qualification within a period of three years from the date of their joining the service.
For PET, a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) or its equivalent graduate degree is required. Similarly for DST, a Bachelor’s degree in Domestic/Home Science or a Bachelor’s in Education with Domestic/Home Science as a teaching subject is required from a recognised university/institute.
For TGT Computer Science, a BCA or BE/BTech (Computer Science/Information Technology) degree from a recognised university is required. If the candidate’s graduation is not in Computer Science or Information Technology, then an ‘A’ level course from Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC), Ministry of Information Communication and Technology, will be required to be eligible for the TGT Computer Science post.
Women applicants and candidates from the reserved category are exempted from payment of application fee, while candidates from general category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100.
