MCI asks colleges to conclude NEET PG counselling soon

According to a notification released by the Medical Council of India (MCI), the counselling process for PG colleges will begin as soon as the situations turn normal. The council has asked the colleges to conduct the final year exams of the PG students soon.

The dates for NEET PG Counselling will be released very soon on the official website nbe.edu.in.

Earlier, due to the COVID19 outbreak in the country, NEET PG counselling had been postponed earlier. The official notification regarding the postponement of counselling had been released by MCC on its official website.

As per the recent MCI notice, all exercises from final year exam conduction to PG counselling in the colleges have been delayed due to the pandemic outbreak. The council has made it clear that the colleges can resume all activities that have been left pending due to the lockdown as soon as the situation allows.

The council has also asked the colleges to extend the work period of PG Residents in the college to avoid shortage of hands to deal with the current health situation of the country. The new dates will be soon released on mcc.nic.in

Earlier the NEET PG counselling was supposed to begin on March 12, 2020, and was supposed to end on March 23, 2020. The exam was conducted on January 5, 2020, and the result was announced on February 6, 2020.
