Over JEE Main and NEET 2020 exams, Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said a precious year of students’ lives cannot be wasted. He also confirmed that the Ministry has made full preparations for the safe conducting of JEE Main and NEET 2020 exams all the while ensuring that the safety of the students is maintained.
The Government does not want a null academic session, adding that students will have to bear huge loss and committed towards ensuring bright future of the students, he added.
The Education Minister said that many parents, teachers as well as students have written to him requesting for the exams to be conducted as the aspirants have been preparing since last year. He also appealed to the students to write their exams diligently and not worry about the safety of the test centres.

Pokhriyal also expressed concern over the attempts of people trying to politicise the matter. Nishank also said that prioritising politics over education reflects immorality. He also said that students are aware of the same and as they are already under stress, not conducting the exams as scheduled will increase their stress even further.
The JEE Main and NEET 2020 exams were initially scheduled to be conducted in April- May but were finally scheduled to be conducted in the month of September.
